Little Bit of History (patterns)

This range showcases historical images licensed from the UK’s National Archives. These beautiful wallpaper and textile patterns are by Christopher Dresser (1834–1904), the influential designer and writer who like his contemporary William Morris was often inspired by botany. He designed a wide range of goods for companies like Wedgwood and Royal Worcester. His work has kept its appeal: some designs, for example a toast rack by Alessi, are still in production.
